Norwegians' travel habits in 2019

New statistics for 2022 are coming.

I do not have access to recent figures for the whole of 2022, but everything indicates that the figures will be quite similar to 2019 and here are the figures: (According to figures from Statistics Norway (SSB))

• Spain: 1,674,000

• England: 1,100,000

• Italy: 536,000

• Greece: 444,000

• Thailand: 118,000

• United States: 360,000

How many Norwegians travel and how much money do they spend in Italy, Spain, Greece, Thailand, the USA and other countries.

• Italy: According to figures from Statistics Norway (SSB), Norwegians spent a total of NOK 8.5 billion on trips to Italy in 2019.

• Spain: In 2019, Norwegians spent a total of NOK 23.5 billion on trips to Spain, according to Statistics Norway.

• Greece: According to figures from Statistics Norway, Norwegians spent a total of NOK 6.2 billion on trips to Greece in 2019.

• Thailand: In 2019, Norwegians spent a total of NOK 3.6 billion on trips to Thailand, according to Statistics Norway.

• USA: According to figures from Statistics Norway, Norwegians spent a total of NOK 16.4 billion on trips to the USA in 2019. The trend is downward for 2023

Please note that the numbers may vary slightly depending on which source is used, and there may also be differences in the numbers depending on which definition is used for what is considered a "trip" to a particular country.

How many Norwegians go on holiday to Sweden, Denmark, England, Germany, France. And how much money do they spend in the same countries?

Sweden:

• According to figures from Statistics Norway (SSB), 2.2 million Norwegians traveled to Sweden in 2019. Norwegians spent a total of NOK 15.6 billion on trips to Sweden in the same year.

Denmark:

• According to figures from Statistics Norway, 1.5 million Norwegians traveled to Denmark in 2019. Norwegians spent a total of NOK 12.5 billion on trips to Denmark in the same year.

England:

• According to figures from Statistics Norway, 1.1 million Norwegians traveled to England in 2019. Norwegians spent a total of NOK 17.9 billion on trips to England in the same year. About 40% travel to London and there are large shopping figures. About 9% are football fans. Checked further.

Germany:

• According to figures from Statistics Norway, 1.1 million Norwegians traveled to Germany in 2019. Norwegians spent a total of NOK 12.2 billion on trips to Germany in the same year.

France:

• According to figures from Statistics Norway, 740,000 Norwegians traveled to France in 2019. Norwegians spent a total of NOK 11.6 billion on trips to France in the same year.
