The first time and only time I was here was in 1970 and then we drove from Oslo in an old Datsun 1100. It went faster and faster as we got it used to the autobahn through Germany. I don't remember much from that trip, except that everyone else around us at the campsite started digging. We emptied a couple of canteens and graded around the tent as well. At three o'clock in the morning, we realized that we should have borrowed a spade. The rain poured down and into the tent. The next day it was sunny and happy and we were able to dry everything. (as a little tip if you were going camping)
