When you land in Fort Lauderdale in South Florida or anywhere else and are either going on to Cuba, Miami, or just relaxing, you've come to an area that caters and has something for everyone, no matter what.

South Florida is a great place for solo lovers. Here there are miles of beaches, never far from shopping, and a sea of top-class restaurants and bars. No wonder millions of people visit the region every year. Miami is the place that most people travel to, while others prefer slightly quieter areas,, and then it is enough to choose between a little further north.
But Miami is absolutely fantastic and here there is life and laughter, parties and fun, and loadsof experiences. If you haven't been to Miami before, all you have to do is book a place, so you can experience the life, the food, and all the people.
The time of year you travel of course affects both the number of people and the prices, but rather be a day shorter and enjoy the days you are here if your wallet also needs a holiday. I think I can say that Miami Beach is better because the offers are more. Where you will live is of course what the plans are. If you're just going to sunbathe and swim and want to be close to the beach or if you're going on a cruise, perhaps you book a little bit closer to the port. In any case, there are plenty of options, so just let your wallet decide. I myself stayed at the Hollyday Inn Seaside. Great hotel with the same view as all the others, but a little simpler, but they have nice and clean rooms.
Right next to my hotel was a great boutique hotel, where I was supposed to meet a successful Norwegian. This story and the interview are here!
Here you get the service you want and the sunbeds you think you deserve, the selection is large, very large. If you don't want to go jogging, be with friends, read a book, go for a walk, or enjoy yourself in the beach bar, yes, here you just have to choose. In addition, it is clean and nice, because everyone wants it to be that way!
After a long day at the beach, it's time to take a walk in town, eat, enjoy yourself with friends, dance a bit, and go to a show, as I said, you just have to choose.
I will never forget that this is where I had one of the best seafood dishes I have ever tasted. This happened at an Italian restaurant in the city center. I love lobster, but often it is the best in Norway, but the way it was prepared here was fantastic. The flavors just exploded in my mouth and I had to brace myself not to shout out loud. Wow! Let's take a look at what you can experience a little further up along the beaches. Hollywood Beach, is located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. From Miami, it is a short drive depending on which hotel you choose, but between 30 and 50 minutes by car is within what you have to count on, you never know with the traffic here.
Ft. Lauderdale is still a little further north, but all have the same great beach, but they also have canals and waterways that attract visitors from all over the world. As I said between these two international hotspots lies Hollywood Beach, a classic beach town.
Hollywood Beach's easy access to the sea and village-like character make it a perfect destination and with its many top restaurants, small inns, and hotels right by the Broadwalk, the area appears very pleasant.,
Hollywood Beach Broadwalk (c) Ingar Naess Hollywood Beaches has a great boardwalk, the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, which stretches almost two and a half miles along the beaches. Voted one of America's Best Boardwalks by Travel+Leisure magazine, the brick-paved Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is great for joggers, bikers, and rollerbladers and is lined with countless eateries and cafes.
Whether you prefer to stay in one of the very exclusive hotels or an Airbnb by the beach, there is plenty to choose from. The only thing that is absolutely certain is that here in South Florida you will find everything you need for a wonderful holiday. You get sunshine all year round, miles of beaches, and lots of cultural experiences. Hotels in Hollywood, Florida, located just minutes from Fort Lauderdale International Airport, a perfect location for a super vacation.
I am here after a wonderful week in Cuba and use this area for a little "acclimatization" from all the impressions in Havana. Here I can sit and relax and write about all the experiences, go for walks to experience live music along the beach, and not least, enjoy an incredible amount of good food. Let's just start with the very simple. (read about the trip to Cuba)
Street Food in star class!
Sometimes you just have to shout out loud, - you have to go and eat here! This is absolutely top-class food. Small tasty dishes, I myself chose a spicy king prawn salad with pita bread, for only $5, and it was the most expensive they had. Maybe I'll manage one more dish tomorrow before I go home to Norway. Wow! I apologize for the quality of the photo, but I guarantee, this is real Street Gourment! Taking a walk along the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk early in the morning is incredibly sacred. I was here in January and the temperature was around 18-20 degrees and livable for me, but for you who love the sun, you don't have to wait long.
There is another big advantage at this time of year, there are few people and cheaper hotels, etc. This time I stayed in a simple but good hotel 20 meters from the beach. Hollywood Beach Tower. Because I had planned well, I got a great room with a sea view for only NOK. NOK 1,200 including breakfast. Great beds, quite decent breakfast, and very pleasant service.
Right around the corner from the hotel, I found an Italian restaurant, and then I'm not difficult to ask. They also had very good feedback on TripAdvisor and then it's worth trying out! I don't regret that. These are the best lamb chops ever and I got them here at Sardelli Italian Steakhouse!
Wow! What a fantastic quality of lamb chops, this was a dream. Perfectly cooked and amazing taste! I thought a glass of wine cost 7-8$, but learned that when you order a glass of wine in good restaurants here you get quality if you want it, so here it was 14$ for a perfect wine. They were perfect both white and red!
Also got a perfect soup on the house which tasted absolutely excellent.
However, the coffee was lousy and was sent out! Even if I got an espresso it won't last. I hope they take this off notice and never serve coffee americano from a bad Nespresso machine again, but do I believe it? That they spoil the last impression only hurts themselves. The waiters were nice and attentive, but one of the worst things I know is for them to talk and discuss with each other out among the guests. It may seem that they live a little on the reputation of the chef's work!
So bad coffee and unnecessary conversations and discussions in the premises drag you down, but you have to go here, this was absolutely top food.
Five Guys
I was out for a drive and needed a quick lunch, then I found a new hamburger chain, here in the Miami area, I was called Five Guys.
This was certainly good, but there is no such thing as cheap fine dining in the US. Double with bacon and a small bottle of water cost 13$. But it tasted good and you could eat as many peanuts as you wanted.
Then this trip was over but you can choose Norse if you want to travel as cheaply as possible!
